Yarn: I have used Hobby Store Acrycot Yarns from @magicneedlesindia , you can find a substitute using the specifications mentioned on their website. The pattern is compatible with yarn Light DK(weight 3) & Light Aran (weight 4)

Crochet Hook: I’ve used 4 mm.

There is no gauge for this pattern, it’s completely made as per your crochet tension, and what pleases you! Try to maintain a tighter tension, size down on the crochet hook if required. If you plan to make the Sunflower Granny Square Bag (Pictures on my Instagram) you want the stitches to not have holes.
